So you want to be a Web Support and QA Tester?

We are looking for a Web support and QA tester to join our Product Management team. You’ll work closely with our QA testers, Developers, Product Managers and Account Managers to provide support in triaging issues raised by our clients, as well as testing the fixes produced by our Development team.

We’d love to have you come work with us in our beautiful Edinburgh office (when we are able to return), but we’d also consider filling the position either partially, or fully via remote working if you're based in the UK.

Our clients include: National Trust for Scotland, Edinburgh International Festival, RAC, Glasgow Film Theatre, Royal Academy of Music, Visit Scotland, Mary's Meals, and the Scottish Government.

About you

We’re looking for a patient, determined, and motivated problem solver with a keen eye for detail who has a good understanding of the fundamentals of web browsers, content management systems and web technologies. If not directly qualified in support and/or QA then you should be able to demonstrate transferrable experience of investigating and identifying software bugs and issues.

Skills Required

  • Able to analyse what websites should do and if they are doing it right 
  • Basic understanding of web development principles 
  • Skilled at identifying and documenting bugs 
  • Working with project tracking software (we use Jira/Basecamp) 
  • Browser testing 
  • CMS knowledge  
  • Working understanding of caching and performance concepts 
  • A keen eye for detail 
  • Organised and efficient 
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication
