So you want to be a Web Developer?

We are looking for an experienced Web Developer to join our Technical team. You’ll work closely with our Designers and Producers to produce enviable websites, interactives, and games.

We work with clients like: National Trust for Scotland, Edinburgh International Festival, RAC, Glasgow Film Theatre, Kames Capital, Visit Scotland, Mary's Meals, ACCA, and the Scottish Government.

Here is a list of buzzwords to give you a flavour:

LAMP, Craft CMS, ExpressionEngine, Laravel, HTML5, jQuery, Webpack, Gulp, ES2016, Node, SASS, PHP, Composer, macOS, GIT, Basecamp, JIRA, Slack.


  • Technical degree or equivalent work/life experience
  • Experience hand-coding standards compliant, semantic HTML5
  • An in-depth understanding of progressive enhancement and browser limitations
  • The ability to write neat, efficient CSS / SASS
  • Experience of responsive design techniques
  • Javascript / ES6 / Node JS
  • Experience with build processes
  • CMS implementation - preferably in Craft or ExpressionEngine (but Drupal, Umbraco and Joomla! also handy)
  • Object Oriented modern PHP
  • Photoshop and/or Sketch
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise

Bonus Points

  • Experience with testing frameworks
  • Experience with Bootstrap
  • Experience of web accessibility standards and ARIA
  • Experience with Laravel and/or Symfony frameworks
